Early Works

I started painting around 1965 and pretty much have not stopped. My documentation/dating has proven to be a bit sketchy because I would rather paint than do office work. My most productive period is around 1985-1991 living and painting in and around North Eastern Victoria.. This period included several painting prizes of Still Life and Landscape, some of which were acquired by Regional Art Galleries and private collections.   I also painted a large number of small vignette paintings which I called Garden Interiors and continued to paint small Still Life paintings.  In 1991 I return to Melbourne to study Art History, Anthropology, and Art Therapy. I still paint smaller works as demonstrations for my students, this also keeps my eye and hand in training.   Some of my best works have been demonstrations for students.
